Hulton ward Councillor Derek Bullock visited Sapling Road Allotment Site this week. He was informed how the site was run and saw all the plots. Derek will now be putting some questions to the Head of Greenspace, Mr Nigel Hartley who is in overall charge of all the allotments in Bolton.

olton Council provide no subsidy for the allotments in Bolton, so it is generally down to volunteer allotment holders to sort out any problems they have on the allotment sites. Mr Hartley stated in a recent visit to Sapling Road Allotment Site that “Bolton Council had no money available” and that “any help provided by volunteers would be gratefully received”.

Sapling Road Allotment Site has a number of plots which require renovation and it is hoped that the waiting list for the site will be opened shortly. We look forward to any help and advice Hulton Ward Councillor Derek Bullock can provide.
